🇺🇸 Veterans Day Freedom Cup: Special Edition
(2-min read)

This weekend, we’ll welcome 85 teams from across Pennsylvania and Upstate New York to Hughesville for the 2025 Veteran’s Day Freedom Cup — a tournament that’s about more than soccer. It’s about honoring those who’ve served our country while celebrating the incredible soccer community that continues to grow across our region.
Set for November 8–9 at the East Lycoming Soccer Complex, this full-field tournament features U9–U16 divisions and programs from CPYSL, NorCenPenn, PA West, Reading-Berks League, Broome County, and beyond. The field is set — and it’s one of the most competitive yet.
What to Expect This Weekend
Families can enjoy a full weekend of fun both on and off the field:
Event apparel sales will benefit PA Wounded Warriors, Inc.
Vendors on site include Kona Ice, FutureStars (selling pro jerseys), and OnSite Printing (on-site photography service).
Skills Zone: Fastest Kick & Juggling Challenges — open to everyone!
On Sunday, we’ll welcome the Daughters of the American Revolution and CW5 Darryl Hamm, representing PA Wounded Warriors, for a special appearance.

Community Partners
East Lycoming Soccer Association (ELSA) serves players and families across the East Lycoming School District. Their volunteers have been instrumental in organizing this weekend’s event — from preparing fields to running concessions. If you see them, take a moment to say thank you for helping make this event possible.

PA Wounded Warriors, Inc. is a nonprofit organization providing emergency financial aid to veterans and their families — 100% of donations stay in Pennsylvania. We’re honored to support their mission through this tournament, with all apparel proceeds benefiting their work. Special thanks to President Helen Sajer and CW5 Darryl Hamm for this opportunity!
Thank You to Our Sponsors

Your commitment to our mission — making soccer more accessible and community-driven — means everything.
Closing Remarks
This weekend isn’t just the end of a season — it’s a celebration of everything soccer stands for: teamwork, perseverance, and community.
Whether you’re competing, cheering, or volunteering, thank you for being part of this incredible community. We can’t wait to build more memories in 2026.
Together, we’re Building American Soccer Together — One Tournament at a Time.
Warmly,
Colin Gorini
